Red Meat

So lately I've been trying to cook dinner more often because Dave loves me more when I do...the key to his heart is his stomach.

So my friend has a website where she puts up recipes of what she cooks. (shameless plug...I've tried a few of her recipes and they've all been so delicious and easy!)

On Saturday I got the brilliant idea to make steak! I've never made steak before, so it was an adventure.

So this first picture is the lovely lovely gravy I made. It was my first gravy EVER, and it wasn't lumpy, and it was delicious. (be in awe...)

Here is a picture of all the food. I made peas with white sauce (which was leftover from a few nights ago and was lumpy, but still yummy) to go with it. There's also mashed potatoes that Dave made and a jello fruit salad thing. We had yummy cherry apple juice to drink. Doesn't it look so fancy?

Neither of us could finish our food and we both had only one bite of the salad. We were stuffed to the brim with delciousness.

This last picture is what Monkey's "corner" of the kitchen looked like when I was done cooking. When we feast, she feasts. No wonder she hangs out in the kitchen while we cook.

Sadly, I did wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat again from eating meat so late in the day, but it was totally worth it.
