Joshua and I have been having great conversations lately. Here are the things we talk about all day:
(first things said in the morning:)
J: woof woof?
S: good morning!
J: woof woof?
S: the dogs are outside (opening north blinds)
J: cars?
S: yep, there are the cars
J: woof woof?
S: do you want to see the dogs? (opening east blinds)
J: dgas? [dogs]
S: yep, there are the dogs!
J: woof woof! dgas? woof woof! dgas? woof woof! dgas?
S: Where are your ears?
J: (covers eyes with hands)
S: Oh, where is Joshua?
J: (uncovers eyes) bap! [boo]
S: Where are your ears?
J: (either folds over own ears or reaches for my ears) rrs? [ears]
S: good job! where are your eyes?
J: (folds over ears or reaches for my ears) rrs?
S: those are your ears. where are your eyes?
J: (sticks finger up nose)
S: no, that's your nose.
J: (reaches out for my nose and pinches it)
S: honk honk
repeat honk honk game for a while alternating between his nose and mine
S: ok, where are your eyes?
J: (puts finger over closed eye) sss? [eyes]
S: good job!
S: can you scratch your head?
J: (scratches his or my head)
Other things he says:
mum mum! [yum yum!]
vroom vroom
this (pointing to things)
uh huh! (when he's hungry)
hi!
hello!? (sometimes sounds more like RO!?)
Other things he does on command:
go get your truck
go get a book
go get it (whatever he just threw or we're pointing at)
say bye! (waves)
waves at all cars driving by
knock on the door
dances
kicks his feet
And for good measure, here's a video of his progress in walking. He isn't quite doing it on his own yet, but we practice all the time. The Pediatrician on Wednesday asked if he was running yet. Haha, no, he's not even walking yet. He wasn't too worried about it though.
ps: he's 33 inches tall (95%), weighs 22 lbs 14 oz (25%), and his head is in the 95%. he still only has 8 teeth...sorta. his two left molars are half up each.
